Inye Kemabonta, a technology attorney, is a member of the Board of IIET.
He has a life-long and deep interest in the development of indigenous capacities in all sectors of the digital economy. He was the pioneer National Coordinator of the Office for Nigerian Content Development in ICT (ONC).He currently chairs the Policy and Regulation Committee of the ICT Sector Working Group of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in the Oil and Gas sector.
He is also currently involved in national efforts in Economic and Financial Inclusion and is actively involved in efforts to catalyze the emergence of an industry of cyber insurance in Nigeria. He has made many public presentations on the subject as a risk transfer system for the sustainability of the digital economy and protection of Nigeria’s Critical National Digital Assets and Infrastructure(CNDAI).
Over the last three and a half decades Kemabontaserved in both the Legislative and Executive Arms of Government during which he chaired and served on several developmental initiatives in the Nigeria ICT industry.Apart from ICT, Law and Behavioral Sciences, his professional and academic background includes Communication, Public Relations, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. He conducts training in Transformational Leadership, ICT Regulation, Process Re-engineering, Public Speaking, Business and Developmental Communication, Indigenous Content Development, Negotiation Skills, and Knowledge Management.
