Major General Garba Sani Abdullahi (Rtd)holds a Bachelors Degree fromNigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna,Masters Degree from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and is currently about to conclude his PhD (Cyber Security) from Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK).He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as Second Lieutenant in 1991 and rose steadily to the rank of Major General before his voluntary retirement from the service in 2023.The General is a seasoned telecommunication and ICT retired senior officer with several years of experience and speciality in Electronics Warfare and cyber security.
He was at one time the Chief System and Design Planner, Director General of Land Forces Simulation Centre as well as Commander,Corps ofSignals/Chief ICT of the Nigerian Army. He has coordinated and supervised several ICT projects and was instrumental in the establishment of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command and Cyber Warfare School.He has delivered several speeches at conferences, seminars, and workshops on computer and cyber security both locally and internationally.
He is a fellow/member of numerous professional bodiessuch as Fellow- Institute of Information Management (FIIM), Fellow – Certified Research Scholar and Administrator (FCRSA) and Member - Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC). Others are;Member - Nigerian Computer Society (MNCS), Member - Computer Professionals of Nigeria (MCPN), Member-Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) and Member-International Internet Society (ISOC) (Nigerian Chapter). He is now a consultant in ICT and cyber security both locally and abroad.
